A 43% increase in ticket prices for the men’s Ashes Test at Edgbaston next year has been deemed “really poor” by former England captain Michael Vaughan. The third Test of the best-of-five series between Australia and England will take place at the Birmingham facility next summer.
Tickets in the Hollies Stand, which can accommodate nearly 6,000 fans, will cost £165, up from £115 in 2023. Members can buy tickets for £92 elsewhere in the stadium, while the cheapest adult tickets for the first three days are £115, with a £2.50 booking fee.
The price of Hollies Stand tickets at Edgbaston has increased by 43% over the last four years, from £115 for the 2023 Ashes series to £165 for the 2027 match. One of the most well-liked areas of the Birmingham stadium, the stand can hold around 6,000 spectators. Adult tickets for the first three days of the Test start at £115, while Edgbaston members can reserve seats for £92. Each ticket purchased is subject to a £2.50 booking fee.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) reported that “every day sold out in advance, with total attendance topping 545,000” after the 2023 series, which finished in a 2-2 draw after Australia won the first two Tests (at Edgbaston and Lord’s).
Tickets for next week’s third Test between England and Pakistan, which cost between £57.50 and £87.50 for adults, have not sold out despite Warwickshire’s Edgbaston stadium being at a lower capacity due to the construction of an on-site hotel.
The third Test in a five-match series is held at Edgbaston. On June 18, England will begin their campaign at Trent Bridge, while on June 30, the second Test will take place at Lord’s. Beginning on July 8, the Edgbaston match will be followed by the fourth Test on July 21 at the Utilita Bowl and the fifth Test on July 29 at the Oval.
A fresh addition to the customary rotation of grounds, the Utilita Bowl is now the eighth location in the UK to host a men’s Ashes Test. After losing 4-1 in Australia during the 2025–26 series last winter, England is hoping to capture the urn again.
