The 30-member probables list was revealed by the state association on Tuesday. The Tamil Nadu senior men’s pre-season Ranji Trophy camp will take place in Chennai from September 3 to September 25. In the meantime, the U23 team has a 25-person roster.
The Col CK Nayudu Trophy defending champions will camp in Theni and Natham from September 3–18. After that, they will reassemble in Dindigul before their October 1–4 matchup with the rest of India. After the current Tamil Nadu Premier League, the players will take a week off before reassembling for their individual camps.
The camp comes after a challenging 2025–2026 season in which Tamil Nadu placed sixth out of eight teams in their group. M. Senthilnathan and M. Venkataramana, who shared the position in 2025–2026, have been replaced as head coach for the upcoming season by V. Yo Mahesh. On June 24, 2026, his appointment was officially confirmed.
The player who just came under the ACSU radar is included in the likely squad, albeit there are no significant shocks. According to a senior TNCA official, the player has been barred from participating in the remainder of the competition and has been penalised for the violation.
TNCA president T. J. Srinivasa Raj said, “He will be assisting the selectors and coaches and be involved in talent scouting and ensure the academy is run in the best way. From this year, we plan to have monthly review meetings with team coaches, academy coaches and the Strength & Conditioning staff to keep a track on the progress of teams and players. We are also in the process of reviving an old practice of having six to seven permanent coaches at the TNCA Academy. Apart from these permanent coaches, we will have a handful of coaches on short-term assignments who can assist during camps for the various teams.”
In addition to the coaching reorganisation, TNCA is reinstating a model it formerly employed at its academy, in which six to seven coaches maintain regular jobs while another group of coaches join on temporary assignments to support particular camps across age-group and senior teams. These arrangements will be coordinated by the newly appointed Head of Cricket.
